Golf In Schools Program
The Golf In Schools Program is designed to introduce
and teach the game to children in elementary, middle and high schools.
Golf In Schools works with schools to give children a full
circle introduction to the game.
Ultimately, life skills are
being taught to the participating children, including proper conduct,
manners, safety, following the rules, integrity, and respect for
other children and golf course property. The social element is critical
and emphasized each day during the Golf In Schools Program. Learning
how to play golf becomes a by-product of the life skills being taught.
The Foundation informs schools of the education resources available
and then provides complimentary curriculum materials, golf clubs,
teaching aids, after school learning opportunities and golf professional
expertise.
If you are interested in adding a golf component to your P.E. program and/or school district, please contact Carolyne Wood at cwood@ntpga.com or 214-420-7421.
