Last week, Birdies for Kids fundraising participants, Nick Griffin, Cameron McCormick and Mark Harrison were joined by NTPGA leaders and staff members for a tour of Children's Medical Center. The tour included a lunch with leadership from the hospital and very special visit to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The $75,795.00 that was donated to Children's Medical Center over the past two years from the fundraiser was designated to purchase Giraffe Omnibeds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The beds are designed specifically for the care of critically ill newborns. It was announced yesterday that Children's Medical Center along with the Foundation's Golf in Schools program will again share the proceeds from the Birdies for Kids fundraiser in 2010-11.
